Key Account & Trade Marketing Manager Pharmaceutical Distribution & Wholesalers (Belgium)

Our client is a dynamic, fast-growing company specializing in the development, production, and distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, dietary supplements, and cosmetic products. 


About the role

 

As Key Account and Trade Marketing Manager Pharmacy Distribution and Wholesalers, you are responsible for managing and growing strategic partnerships with pharmacy groups, B2B platforms, and wholesalers. You combine strong commercial skills with a sharp understanding of trade marketing and shopper activation. You understand the needs and objectives of your accounts and translate these into effective solutions and plans that contribute to their success. You easily identify key opportunities within your accounts and are not afraid to take initiative or propose new ideas. Working closely with the Head of Sales and the Marketing team, you develop customer-centric strategies while proactively anticipating changes in the market and evolving customer needs.

 

Your day-to-day

 

Developing and maintaining productive, long-term customer relationships:
You are the primary point of contact for key accounts, understanding customer needs and requests while building strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

Developing and implementing tailored strategies for pharmacy groups, B2B customers, and wholesalers:
You create and execute customized account plans to achieve business objectives, identify growth opportunities within existing accounts, and develop strategies to capitalize on them. This includes monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer performance, and adjusting strategies where necessary.

Defining and executing the annual Trade Marketing Plan:
You define and implement the annual Trade Marketing Plan for your assigned accounts (both offline and online), coordinating promotions and point-of-sale activations to ensure consistent brand presentation and an optimal shopper experience. You manage trade marketing budgets and analyze campaign ROI, working closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure full alignment.

Achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets:
You meet or exceed sales and revenue objectives for your accounts, including negotiating contracts, pricing, and promotions to maximize growth and profitability.

Cross-functional collaboration:
You work closely with Marketing teams on promotional campaigns and activations, collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure product availability and timely delivery, and coordinate with Finance and Legal on contract negotiations and payment terms.

 

Your profile

 

  • You have proven experience in a commercial role within the pharmaceutical sector or an FMCG environment;
  • You are a true team player and a strong communicator with solid analytical skills;
  • You are customer-focused and an effective negotiator;
  • You have a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a true “can-do” attitude;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and French.
