Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Antwerp - Hal - Vilvoorde

For a 100% Belgian company with 30 years of experience in distribution, we are looking for a pharmaceutical sales representative for the Antwerp – Hal – Vilvoorde region


You will join a young, dynamic team of around 20 colleagues within a growing organization that values your work-life balance and allows you to work autonomously.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • You are the key link between the company and pharmacies, pharmacy groups, and healthcare institutions, which you visit daily with strong distribution brands.
  • You are responsible for the development and maintenance of your assigned region of pharmacies. Each pharmacy is typically visited twice a year on average.
  • During your visits, you provide product explanations, use your sales skills, and take customer orders.
  • You build long-term relationships and achieve set sales targets.
  • You respond to customer inquiries received by phone or in writing. Naturally, you ensure optimal service for each customer and enhance the visibility of your products in the pharmacy.
  • You work closely with your internal sales colleagues, who ensure that your orders are entered and processed correctly and on time. You coordinate internally regarding product availability to ensure accurate communication with customers.
  • You are responsible for the accurate management of the digital customer records of the pharmacies in your region. You communicate any changes promptly or update them yourself.
  • To support the sales representative in their role, the internal sales team supplements the appointment calendar weekly with nearby clients who are due for a visit (based on visit frequency and last contact). This allows the representative to spend more time visiting clients.

 

Your profile:

 

  • You have at least 5 years of successful experience in a similar sales representative role.
  • Experience within the pharmacy channel in the Antwerp region is a strong asset.
  • You enjoy working in an SME environment with short lines of communication and like being actively in contact with customers and internal departments (such as order processing, logistics, etc.).
  • You are able to build strong relationships with clients and are not afraid to ask assertive yet friendly follow-up questions when needed.
  • You can work independently, have strong organizational skills, and are goal-oriented in your approach.
  • You are flexible and possess excellent communication skills as well as strong persuasive abilities.
  • You take ownership, are results-driven, and work well autonomously.

 

Additional information:

 

  • You will be required to come to the office in person at specific times during the year.
  • Four times a year, a quarterly sales meeting is organized, during which product innovations and new campaigns are presented, specific product trainings are provided, and sales figures are discussed. The entire team is present on these days.
  • In addition, two extra meetings are scheduled each month on Friday afternoons: one in person and one online, specifically with your fellow pharmacy sales representatives. These meetings are intended for sharing best practices, following up on questions, and adjusting actions where necessary.
