Account Manager Flandres

For a growing, small-scale pharmaceutical wholesaler, we are looking for an Account Manager in Flanders to strengthen their dynamic team.
 

Job Description

 
As a Pharmaceutical Account Manager, you are responsible for driving commercial development in the Flanders region. You will visit pharmacies to promote their products and services and encourage them to place orders through our digital platform. You play a key role in expanding their network by maintaining relationships with existing clients while actively prospecting for new partners. You will spend 80–90% of your time visiting pharmacies and approximately half to one day per week at headquarters.
 
Main Responsibilities
 
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of pharmacy clients in Flanders.
  • Visit pharmacies to present their products, promotions, and services.
  • Convince pharmacists to use their platform and support them in its implementation.
  • Prospect new pharmacies and actively recruit new members.
  • Negotiate commercial terms in line with company strategy.
  • Achieve the sales and growth objectives set by management.
  • Gather and report market insights and competitor information.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, customer service, logistics) to ensure optimal follow-up.
  • Contribute to the organization and smooth execution of seminars, evening activities, and events.
 
Profile
 
  • Degree in sales, marketing, or sciences (or equivalent experience).
  • First successful experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative or account manager, ideally with direct contact with pharmacies.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • A true “hunter” mindset for prospecting, combined with the ability to build loyalty with existing clients.
  • Independent, well-organized, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent command of Dutch (French is an asset).
  • Driving license B and willingness to travel frequently across Flanders.
